It is our pleasure at Oklahoma State University to officially invite your university to participate in the 2006 South
Central Regional Flag Football Tournament in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The tournament will be held on the campus of Oklahoma State University,
December 1st-3rd, 2006. Our invitation is extended to your Men's, Women's, and/or CoRec teams. There is no limit on the number of teams from
each university; however guaranteed entry will be limited for the first 72 paid entries. Each team will participate in pool play format
consisting of three teams per pool, and will be guaranteed two games. The top two teams will advance into a single elimination tournament.
The included packet provides all needed information for your team(s) to participate. Please have each team complete and submit the entry
forms and payment by the entry deadlines. Intramural Directors must sign off on each roster to verify team eligibility. Entries without this
signature will not be accepted. There is a mandatory captains meeting on Friday, December 1st, at 6:00 p.m. A representative from each team
or University must be in attendance.
Please note the following important information:
- NIRSA Flag Football rules will be enforced with a few minor modifications.
- We ask that all players wear jerseys of the same color with numbers on the front and bac
- All players MUST wear shorts or pants WITHOUT pockets.
- All players MUST show a valid university/college/military ID before EACH game.
We also would like to extend an invitation to send your top officials to the 2006 South Central Regional Flag Football tournament.
Officials will be paid $10 per game, their hotel accommodations and meals will also be provided. The top 4 officials from the tournament will
receive a bid and travel stipend to the NIRSA National Flag Football tournament hosted by the University of Texas at Dallas, January, 4th-7th,
2007. A mandatory official's meeting will be held Friday, December 1, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. All officials must be in attendance. Please have
the officials submit their application by November 17, 2006. They will be contacted with more information. Also, if there are any other
staff members that would like to participate, please have them review and submit a staff application form by November 10, 2006.
