The OSU Wheelchair Basketball Team

The OSU wheelchair basketball program enriches lives, advances knowledge and stimulates economic development through instruction, outreach, and creative activities. The program provides instruction in the lives of its student athletes by instructing them on the importance of physical activity, showing them the proper ways of weight management, cardio endurance, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Not only instructing them on physical activities but also good work habits. Teaching them the importance of being on time, having a good work ethic, being prepared, and striving to become the best they can be at the whatever job or task is asked of them. The wheelchair basketball program instructs them on how to be good role models, effective communicators, and great contributors to their future communities. It also teaches them the core values of OSU, to excel with continuous improvement of themselves, to accept diversity, and to devote service to their community, family, and ones self. The Oklahoma State Wheelchair Basketball Program is a recognized student organization. It was designed to promote a competitive opportunity through the game of Wheelchair Basketball. Presently, the OSU Wheelchair Basketball Program is one of ten eligible college teams in the nation. Athletes in this program travel around the country competing against other Universities.
