Kenneth Lee
November 24, 1966 - February 4, 2003
Ken will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched |
Our friend and co-worker, Ken Lee, suffered a stroke and passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2003. Ken worked for Campus Recreation as the Coordinator
for Adaptive Sports and coach of the OSU's Wheelchair Basketball Team. He dedicated his life to assisting individuals to overcome physical barriers and reach their
fullest potential in competitive and recreational sports and in life. Ken was a former Tulsa University running back who later became interested in adaptive sports
and came to OSU in January 1999. He did a wonderful job with the OSU Wheelchair Team and took the group to national prominence.
Always giving and helping others, Ken will be remember in many ways. Through his death, he has drastically improved, and in some cases saved, the lives of others by
his generous act of organ donation. Ken Chance, retired director of ADA Compliance, and others describe Lee as a caring, compassionate individual who loved to become
involved and loved to work with young people. Chance noted that "whoever gets his heart is going to get a big one." We'll miss Ken and remember the impact he made
on this campus, in the state, and around the nation.
Donations and memorials can be made to the Kenneth Lee Scholarship Fund through the OSU Foundation.
